Thalaiyar Falls
Theni, a hidden paradise, located in Tamilnadu has an amazing place to explore within it. one among those places is Thalaiyar falls also known as Rat tail falls.

The Rat tail falls because of its appearance like a tail of a rat, very long and thin. It is 195 ft (297 m) tall and is the highest waterfall in Tamilnadu, the third-highest in India, and 267th highest in the world. located in the Palani hills of Dindigul district, Tamilnadu.

Highest : 975 ft ( 297 m)
This stunning waterfall, as we see from faraway places, looks like a thin silver strip of water falling amidst the gorgeous greenish mountains. It is considered to be one of the highest waterfalls, covering a large amount of area.
Tourists enjoy the aura of that wonderful dream destination, drowning in a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere.
From the Kodaikanal bus stand, it takes around 48 to 60 minutes to arrive at the falls. The best way to reach there is to go by car or to hire a taxi. Even though we go by the vehicles like bike , car or even bus , over a certain limit we cannot go further by vehicles. we must park our vehicles and go by walk for a certain distance.
The best suitable season to visit Thalaiyar falls is between October to March and also between July and September. During those months mentioned above, Kodaikanal experiences the onset of winter followed by the cold months and early spring. So, the water level of Thalaiyar falls would be enjoyable, making it the most suitable time to experience this magnificent place.
It is recommended not to visit during March until the beginning of July, the summer season begins as the water level reduces during this time.
